Brokerage and Licensing Disclosures

Two different roles

When I list or help you buy a home, I am acting as a licensed real estate agent through the brokerage below, under a written agreement. When Mazza Buys Houses makes a cash offer, that business is proposing to buy as a principal. Its interest as a buyer is not the same as your interest as a seller, and that offer is not agency.

Compensation

A 1% option is listing-side compensation only. Any compensation to a buyer’s broker, and any other fee, is disclosed in the listing agreement. A flat fee is quoted in that agreement rather than as a single public price.
